Hope
For the better or worse ~ the ban upon PC to PC marriages has been lifted, with the proviso that players need to be game veterans of 3 OOC years. Note: If your PC marries another PC, you you cannot just kill them off in the recess when they are driving you mad. So think carefully before doing this. Caroline Despanay
Oh wow, I was not even aware there was such a rule? Sorry, I did not know when I had Caroline agree to get hitched to George.
Defiance
It hasn't needed to be a rule for awhile which is probably why you never knew it existed. Back in the day we had too many married and related PCs (much of it before my time), and there was a lot of problems that cropped up when drivers disagreed or disappeared, or one driver in the pair was super domineering and, well, we made the rule so we weren't constantly mediating either IC or OOC or watching a PC get bullied or stifled by their IC relation or spouse 🤣
Blackguard
That and it became a problem when a player dropped the game, wanted to kill off their PC that was married to another PC, or just disappeared from the game. It was awkward deciding whether to turn the truant PC into an NPC, kill them off or just have the other player wait for months or years to see if their fellow player returned to the game. We think veterans of the game that have played for years are less likely to disappear or be inconsiderate to their fellow player (PC spouse) by leaving them in an awkward situation. Caroline Despanay
If Caroline goes thru with this marriage, I promise I won't disappear and leave the storyline hanging. No promises though whether it turns into a happy marriage. I think it has a decent chance to but we will see how it plays out.
