[Hope]

When a second anonymous pamphlet his the street, ready hands were eager to snatch up a copy, this one was entitled "Wit Rules"

 

 

While one was cleary unfit

for a lack of merry wit

The English would rather kiss a hog

then pay obeisance to a French frog

Only one German star possessed calm

offering it to suffering England like a balm.

The lady of the Rhine

belonged on the English throne divine.
