Smiling she walked over to the closest mirror and held them up to her ears. They would look grand when she attended her next party. But without a note, she had no idea who had sent them. Now that was indeed annoying. Some court ladies might be all a titter over such a mystery, not her. She liked to know things. Although perhaps this was the first act of a grand plan by some courtier to woo her? That might prove interesting. She would just have to be patient. Damn, she hated patience!
