The Honourable Robert Hooke's January'78

paper revealing theory and practise of the Coil

Spring, a device with purpose of measuring the

depths of the Oceans, has been well received

by the Royal Society.  The fine members of that

laudable Company of Intellectuals plan a presen-

tation evening and discussion this coming April, at

the zenith of full moon, the 7th, at a time yet to be

decided. Applications to be a supporting speaker is

invited; please direct interest to Master Richard

Waller, Secretary, C/o Royal Society.
