Francis Kirke
Francis had enjoyed his afternoon card game and had then set out to answering some correspondence before supper. Before doing so, he penned a note to the Duke of Cumberland and sent it off with a few bottles of Kingston's best cider and his blood orange brandy. After the required salutations, it read: Quote I was hoping Your Highness would have some time to spare to discuss the yacht races to benefit the Navy in the coming days. In addition, I gave my promise that I would bring any names to you who showed promise in the area of your scientific interests and there is one I should like to discuss if the time might be spared for such. I shall attend at your convenience. Your servant, Kingston
