Francis Kirke
Following the Bishop of London's recommendation, Francis penned a letter to All Saints in Kingston, intent on beginning the process of seeing to its repairs and improvements. After the required salutations, it read: Quote Seeing such an ancient and significant monument of faith in Kingston in need of repair weighs heavily on my conscience and can no longer press upon me without my seeing to the duty of beautifying her with the utmost care. Please begin inquiries for a design to rebuild the tower in brick and complete the other necessary repairs, which I will wholly fund. Upon conclusion of the season, I will expect to see potential plans so that the improvements can commence with expedience. Kingston
