Searching For a Beauty

Recommended Posts

"I'm sorry sir, I've not seen it," the merchant reported.

"It be a family heirloom.  I've come all the way from Dublin.  Some English lady had it.  You sure you not seen it?" the Irishman asked.  The merchant shook his head in the negative.

"You see it, you tell me right?  A small statuette of a beauty rising from the sea?"  The merchant was no saint.  He came by his merchandise through unlawful means.  He nodded his understanding.

Taking his leave, the Irish stranger was left to ponder whether he was bold enough to use a bit of burglary to achieve his end.  He knew who had it, but the heist would be dangerous.
