Francis Kirke

Recommended Posts

Early in the morning on the 29th, so as to not interfere with the household readying for the party, Francis had tasked one of the servants to arrive with a little straw-padded crate filled with 6 bottles of his blood orange brandy for her pleasure. She could use it for the party or keep it for herself.

With the crate was a simple note:

With my compliments, friendship, and best wishes for your party tonight. A glass of this shall settle your nerves. Rest assured I am in anticipation of the evening ahead and know all will be well.

Kingston

After seeing it off, Francis had headed to Whitehall with the only sign of light being still the first light of a sailor before the sun actually rose.
